BBM Staff Volunteer Day at Gleaners

On November 15, 2014, Brown Borkowski & Morrow (“BBM”) staff members, family and friends spent an afternoon bagging apples for needy families at Gleaner’s Food Bank in Detroit. BBM staff have committed to volunteering at least one Saturday afternoon every quarter, and have been doing so consistently for the last two years. Staff look forward to the quarterly event, often wondering ahead of time what task they will be assigned “this time.”

We have bagged potatoes, sorted canned goods, bagged apples, and worked the “assembly line” (a staff favorite). It has now become a tradition to combine the volunteer day with a social event, like having lunch at a different Detroit restaurant, or strolling through the Eastern market.

It’s become a great way for staff to work and play in Detroit.
